Today, the 1st meeting of the 8th Congress of the World Congress of Tatars was held at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center. 1500 delegates and guests of honor from foreign countries and regions of Russia arrived at the Congress.

As part of the evening program for the delegates, a concert of masters of art of the Republic of Tatarstan was presented. It is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the World Congress of Tatars. Tatar ensembles and creative teams from the Perm Territory, from the Chelyabinsk and Samara regions, from Uzbekistan also performed here.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziev read from the stage a poem by the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay “Tugan tel”.

The festive concert ended with the performance of the song “Tugan Tel”.
