March 21, 2014 Eskisehir – Cultural Capital of the Turkic world in 2013 on a magnificent ceremony gave the honorary title to the capital of Tatarstan, Kazan city.

The handover ceremony was held with the support of the Governorship of Eskişehir and TURKSOI in a gym Anadolu University. The event was filled with bright emotions and impressions, attended by Vice – Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of prof. Doc. Emrullah Ishler, Minister of National Education of Turkey prof. Doc. Nabi Avci, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Sibagatullin, Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov, Ambassador of Macedonia Goran Taskovski, Kazakh Ambassador Zhanseit Tuymebayev, general secretary of the National Security Council Muammer Türker TR, TRT Director General Ibrahim Sakhin, as well as other guests, who came from 30 different countries of the Turkic world.

Colorful program began with a performance by a military band Mehter Turkish national anthems, ceremony and procession with flags of the Turkic world. Then, a prayer Nowruz was read out in memory of Dede Korkut.
