Helsinki hosted the visiting session of the Bureau of the Executive Board of the World Congress of Tatars

March 20-23, a delegation headed by Chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Tatar Congress Rinat Zakirov made a working visit to Finland for a visiting session of the Bureau of the Executive Board of the World Congress.

To attend the meeting in Helsinki arrived the Bureau members Razil Valeev (Kazan), Almas Aminov ( Arsk ), Damir Iskhakov (Kazan), Alex Lukmanov ( Bashkortstan ) Kamara Khamidullina (Kazan), Ramis Safin (Ulyanovsk), Farid Urazaev (Kazan), Fakhretdin Kanyukaev (Samara), as well as the head of information- analytical department of the World Congress of Tatars Gulnaz Shaikhi, author and presenter of the ” Hulyk Minem” Laysan Sadretdinova.

March 21 in addition to the work of the Bureau, the members also participated in society activists “Islam.” The meeting was opened by the head of society “Islam” Atik Ali. He introduced the participants with each other. In his speech, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Tatar Congress Rinat Zakirov spoke about the ” Tatar world” activities undertaken by the WCT.

In his speech, Rinat Zinnurovich stressed the importance of national education in this regard as a positive example cited lifestyle of Tatars in Finland.

In the debate, took part also the doctor of historical sciences Damir Iskhakov , MP RT State Council and writer Razil Valeev head of Arsky region of Tatarstan Azmas Nazirs, the Bureau member Farid Urazaev, composer, singer-songwriter from Finland Danis Badretdin.

The meeting also noted that the 21 th of March – day of educational society “Islam” – organizing center of Tatars in Finland. The participants congratulated the members of society on its 90 years of successful activity.

In the second part of the afternoon, in the session took part Director of Kazan Tatar gymnasium 15, Khamidullina Camara, Bureau membes : Bashkortstan – Alex Lukmanov, Ulyanovsk – Ramis Safin. Arrived at the meeting from the Bureau of London Ramil Minnullin talked about making the first steps of Tatar organizations in the UK.

Participated in the meeting, the representatives of the Tatars of Finland asked many interesting questions about the Tatars living in the regions of the Russian Federation and other countries. Chairman of the Board of the World Congress of Tatars detailed answers to all questions. With a special attention to the information streaming in Tatarstan, having adopted national development.

Their attitude to the meeting, with the wishes from the representatives of the Tatars in Finland spoke Varul Abdraham, Okan Daher, a former leader for many years of, “Islam”, and Hazrat Imam Ramil Belyaev.

The meeting was summed up by Atik Ali and Rinat Zakirov.

March 22 was devoted to visiting of delegation to the Congress of Tatars in Finland, those places that are closely associated with the Tatars. It is an island of Suomenlinna, which at one time was a frontier post of the Russian Empire, and there were soldiers Tatars, a small town in Jarvenpaa, where only one in Finland built a mosque with a minaret, and is part of the central Tatar cemetery in Helsinki.

The same evening, in a building society “Islam” at the tea table, a meeting with members of the delegation with part of the Tatar community in Finland was held. Total, this event was attended by about 200 people.

Atik Ali and Rinat Zakuirov welcomed the audience. Then, chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars presented the greatest reward to organizations – the medal “For Service to the Tatar people, to “the former head of the long-term “Islam” Okan Daher and Hamid Chaydam these forty years they were teaching the Tatar language, history and folk traditions for the young representatives of the Tatar community in Finland.

Evening traditionally ended by the joint performance of unofficial anthem of the Tatar people – the song “Tugan Tel” on the words of the great G. Tukai.

March 23, the delegation returned to Kazan.
