Today, Vasil Shaykhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, is in Omsk Oblast. The working trip is dedicated to key organizational stages of the 26th Federal Sabantuy – 2026, which will take place on July 18 in Omsk.

The main objective will be to inspect the primary venue of the holiday — Zelyony Ostrov (Green Island) Culture and Recreation Park. The delegation will check the readiness of the infrastructure for holding mass festivities. Vasil Shaykhraziev will also hold a meeting of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of Sabantuy with representatives of regional authorities and the public of Omsk Oblast.

An important part of the visit will be a visit to Victory Park. A discussion regarding the installation of a bust of Hero of the Soviet Union, poet Musa Jalil, is planned there.

The working program also includes a meeting with Mufti Zulkarnay Hazrat Shakirzyanov of the Centralized Religious Administration of Muslims of Siberia and the leadership of local national-cultural autonomies.
