During a working trip to Omsk Oblast, Vasil Shaykhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, visited a mosque where he held an official meeting with Mufti Zulkarnay Hazrat Shakirzyanov of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Siberia.

The parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in the fields of spiritual education and the preservation of Tatar identity in the Siberian region. Mufti Zulkarnay Hazrat expressed gratitude to Vasil Shaykhraziev for organizing the 16th All-Russian Forum of Tatar Religious Figures “National Life and Religion,” which took place in Kazan and Bolgar. According to him, the forum provided a powerful impetus for the further development of Islamic values and the strengthening of the unity of the Tatar people.
