April 16, 2016, at the Republican Center of Tatar culture First International Festival – Contest of Dance Art of the Turkic peoples “Shoma bass” ( “Easy dancing”) took place, which involved more than 30 collectives from Yoshkar-Ola; Mari-Turek, Paranginsky, Medvedev’s district; out of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan. It was held with the support of the State Autonomous Institution of Culture of the Republic of Mari El “National Center of Tatar culture”; regional national – cultural autonomy of Tatars of the Republic of Mari El.
