FOR THE FIRST TIME KAZAN WILL CHOOSE THE BEST TATAR KYZY!

November 16, at 18:00, Kazan on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theater after M. Jalil will host the final of the International Competition “Tatar Kyzy”. The contest involves 14 girls from 11 regions and 3 foreign countries. The aim of the contest is the development and popularization of the Tatar language, the preservation of customs and traditions through increasing the interest of young people in culture and heritage, enriching the life experience of the participants in the competition with new knowledge and skills.
In 2015, the contest “Tatar Kyzy” was first held at the All-Russian level. In 2016, the competition acquired international status, the final ceremony of which was held at the main entertainment venue of the city of Chelyabinsk – the Tractor Ice Arena.
Last year in Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan) the title “Tatar Kyzy-2017” was won by a participant from the Republic of Tatarstan – Gulnaz Gatina, and this year the contest “Tatar Kyzy 2018” takes our capital – Kazan.
The competition consists of three stages – the first round of the competition was held in the regions of Russia and foreign countries. From July 31 to August 5, the semi-final of the project took place in Kazan.
