Miss “Tatar Kyzy” will receive the crown, LADA Granta and invitations to “status events with the participation of governors”

The finals of the international competition “Tatar Kyzy” will be held this year on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theater named after  Musa Jalil. In contrast to previous years, there will be not 12, but 14 girls from 11 regions of Russia and three countries: Lithuania, Austria and Kazakhstan, who will fight for the crown and the car  LADA Granta.

The semi-final of the competition was held on the days of the VIII World Forum of Tatar Youth, where 29 participants passed various tests: intellectual and culinary tasks, tests for knowledge of the language, culture, history and traditions of the Tatars, needlework tasks were embroidered by kalfak.

Last year a girl from Tatarstan, Gulnaz Gatina, became the winner of “Tatar Kyzy”. Today she attended the press conference announcing the final, which was held in the building of the World Tatar Congress. The participants of the meeting with journalists did not touch  the budget of the contest, only  deputy head of the executive committee of the World Tatar Congress, Tabris Yarullin, said that last year’s event cost 7–8 million rubles.

Lena Kolesnikova, President of the contest “Tatar Kyzy”, told about the prospects of the winner of the crown and the finalists of the award. According to her, girls represent the Tatar nation at “status events with the participation of governors, mayors of cities.” “They are invited to award prizes, to participate in the jury of youth and children’s contests,” said  L. Kolesnikova.

Today, the participants of the final plan to visit the Tatneft Arena to talk with the hockey players of the Ak Bars team.
