For many years, Tatars of Uralsk ( Kazakhstan ) with a heavy heart walked past the house of Tatar merchant Galiaskar Usmanov. The house where the first five years of life of G. Tukai in Uralsk passed, was in a state of neglect. It was in this house, surrounded by loved ones, relatives, Gabdulla was able calmly to learn.

Tatar cultural center of Uralsk town has already an extensive experience in restoring historical monuments (the Red Mosque, the Museum of Tukai, a madrasa ). But financial problems hindered to bring in proper form the house of Galiaskar Usmanov.

This year, Republican Sabantui was held in Uralsk , which was attended by RT President PT R.N. Minnikhanov, President of the World Congress of Tatars R.Z. Zakirov and other distinguished guests. Among many sightseeing related to the life and work of our great poet, the guests were shown the house of G.Usmanov, and a dream of restoring it in the form like it was in times of G. Tukai was articulated.

The request of the Uralsk residents was heard! They are grateful to Rustam Minnikhanov, Mintimer Shaimiev, Rinat Zakirov, Razil Valiev for help: money to repair the house of Usmanov had been allocated to the Ural Tatar cultural center from the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Residents of the house expressed gratitude to the builders and, of course, to the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
