In Budapest, the book Ayaz Gilyazov presented

February 24, 2017,  a presentation  of   the book  by one of the classics  of  Tatar literature   “Let’s pray”  in a literary salon of the cafe “Central” with the great success  was held.

The intelligentsia of Budapest   got together. Among them were writers, artists, diplomats, representatives of public organizations and elderly people, somehow connected with those difficult times of the early fifties. There were press and TV of the 5th district of Budapest.

The book was translated into  Hungarian and published in a record short time in two and a half months, thanks to, first of all, great enthusiasm and professional support from  Arpad Galgotsi, laureate of the Translators’ Prize  named after  Jozsef Attila, Chevalier of the Order of Friendship of the Russian Federation and the selfless help of his wife Katalin. In the difficult years of the novel, Arpad Galgotsi was friends with the author and became a prototype of some characters of this work.

The book was published with the support of the Ministry of Human Resources of Hungary, which provided the public fund “Gulag” with money for  translation and publication of this book. As  known, 2016 was celebrated in Hungary as the Year of the Gulag and the 60th anniversary of the 1956 revolution. The publication of the book by Ayaz Gilyazov in February 2017 is very symbolic for this date. From Tatarstan, welcome letters were received from the Writers’ Union of Tatarstan  signed by Danil Salikhov and from the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, signed by R.I.  Valeyev. Greetings were read out  by Khasanova R.I  chairman  of  Board of the Fund “Alphabet” and the Tatar society “Elifba”.
