“Cut out heart and light the way with flame.” Foreboding by Dardmend. ” This is the name of the reader’s conference dedicated to the classic of Tatar literature, the poet and philosopher Zakir Ramiev, who published his works under the pseudonym ”Dardmend (1859–1921).
It will be held on December 9, 2019 at the Russian State Library, in the collections of which the publications of Dardman’s poems are widely represented.
This year marks the 160th anniversary of the poet. It was Dardmend who laid the foundations of national Tatar poetry and created a special lyrical and philosophical trend in it. His poetry is still timely, it is very popular in Tatarstan.
At the meeting poet’s poems will be heard in the Tatar language and in Russian translations. Philologists, specialists in the field of Tatar literature, will talk about his life and work.
Famous literary scholars, historians and writers will make presentations. Among them: Honored Worker of Culture of the TASSR, the laureate of literary prizes after G. Iskhaki and J. Validi Liron Khamidullin – author of the book “Derdmend” (2010), historian and writer Bulat Khamidullin, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, member of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Tatarstan Rozalina Shageyeva, writer and public figure, editor-in-chief of the federal newspaper “Tatar World” Rinat Mukhamadiev.
The evening will be held as a tribute to the recently departed head of the Mejlis of the Tatar Murzas of Moscow, Albert Faritovich Dashkin, descended from the family that gave the Tatar people Zakir Ramiev.
Organizers: The Russian State Library, the Mejlis of the Tatar Murz of Moscow and the Moscow Region, the Umarta Language School with the support of the Plenipotentiary Representation of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation and the World Islamic League Fund for Assisting the Revival and Preservation of the Arab-Muslim Heritage.
