Residents of the villages of Chikcha and Mullashi celebrated the religious holiday of Kurban-Bayram on August 23.
According to historical data, the village of Chikcha was formed at the turn of the 15th-16th centuries. Later, two brothers from Chikchi moved to the bank of the Duvan River and formed a new settlement called Mullashi, which is located about 22 km from Cikci.
Now the population of Mullashi is 946 people, and the Chikchi people number 1188 people. In the summer period, the population increases at the expense of young people, who return to their grandmothers and grandfathers for vacations, but also in the winter the villages are not empty, as there are many young people here, schools, clubs work. According to local residents, all who, when they left their native lands to work in other regions, after retiring, go back, build houses here.
In the settlements at a distance of about 40 km from Tyumen, not only Tatars live, there are also Russians. People are provided with work. Someone who works in the village, someone goes to the city. In addition, the local population engaged in hunting, fishing, collecting berries. There are farms on which cabbage, potatoes, beets and other crops are grown. All this provides residents of the village with jobs and a stable income. Particular attention – spiritual life. In the mosque, prayers are constantly held. According to the Imam of the Mullahshin Mosque, Hamza Hazrat, all the villagers live in prosperity, no one complains about life. “Praise be to Allah, we are now living in a wonderful time. We have stability in the village, the youth is learning, working, God forbid, that it always was so, “says Hamza hazrat.
In both villages there are obelisks dedicated to those who did not return from the front of the Great Patriotic War. The Chikchi and the Mullashinites are proud of their heroes. Particularly famous among the Tatars of the Tyumen region was a Chevalier of the Order of Glory, a native of the village of Mullashi Khabibulla Yakin. Several documentary films have been devoted to him, streets of Tatar villages are named after him.
In both villages there are asphalted streets. In Cicche there is a rural museum, in which excursions are organized on a regular basis. Visitors of the museum have an opportunity to get acquainted with the life of local Tatars, hear Tatar melodies performed by folklore ensemble Shytyr-Shatyr, taste the Tatar cuisine. “Our village is actively developing, we are happy about it,” says the elderly mullah of the Chikchi mosque Nariman hazrat Gadiyev with optimism.
Particular attention is paid to the cleanliness of the villages. Residents constantly spend Saturday here, so that Ciccia and Mullashi “looked exemplary.”
Residents of Cikci and Mullashi honor their traditions, culture and language. At home and on the street they try to speak their native language. Pass the love of their traditions to the younger generation.
These villages are frequented by historians, ethnographers, linguists. Chikchu and Mullashi can rightly be called a fount of Tatar culture in the Tyumen region.
Celebratory events on the occasion of Kurban-Bairam began to be celebrated by the entire Islamic world on 21 August. The holiday lasts three days. Traditionally, residents of the villages of the Tyumen region take turns in holding celebratory events, to which representatives of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Tyumen region are invited.
The Mufti of the Tyumen region Zinnat hazrat Sadykov, imam-muhtasib of the Cathedral mosque of the city of Tyumen Zhanat hazrat Apridonov came to congratulate the Mullashin people. Chikchu on this day visited the assistant chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Tyumen region for relations with the media and the public Dinar hazrat Nafikov, member of the board of the Spiritual Directorate Ruslan hazrat Sadrutdinov, chairman of the national-cultural autonomy of the Tatars of the Tyumen region Rishad Ziganshin.
The guests of honor congratulated the villagers on the holiday and wished the inhabitants of these villages good and prosperity.
