Kazan to host a conference dedicated to Gayzu Iskhaki

September 6 in Kazan will be the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Gayaz Iskhaki and the National Revival of the Tatars in the Early Twentieth Century”, dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of the classic of Tatar literature and a vivid publicist, public figure Gayaz Iskhaki.
More than 100 reports were received for the forthcoming conference. They will be read by scientists from near and far abroad, as well as from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tyumen, Ufa, Cheboksary, Kazan and other Russian cities.
Gayaz Iskhaki (1878-1954) was one of the founders of the Tatar revival literature of the early 20th century, which had a great influence on the Tatar spiritual culture. Iskhaki – the author of more than fifty literary works, hundreds of articles, has initiated the publication of more than ten Tatar newspapers and magazines.
