In St. Petersburg, the Winter ethnopark opened. Until January 10 at the Moscow area will be four etnodvora – “Cossack Kuren”, “Nomad Yurt”, “Slavic farmstead” and “Winter dwelling Inuit igloo.”
Residents of the northern capital and guests will get acquainted with the customs of the various peoples of the winter, while visiting the Christmas Fair it will be able to buy souvenirs made of leather, ceramics, wood and other natural materials, as well as restaurants serving the dishes.
The highlight of the program will be the ethno-park festival of Santa Clauses. On the feast of Saint Petersburg will arrive Cossack Santa Claus, Tyva Cook Irey, Tatar Kysh Babai, Tol Babai Udmurt, Karelian Pakkaine, Yakut Chyskhaan, Yamalo-Nenets Yamal Iri and other winter magicians.
Everyone will be able to participate in master classes on traditional crafts and various kinds of arts and crafts. The
park will be running a large ice rink with artificial ice, and December 26 will park ice sculptures.
