It was under this name, an exhibition, which is held in Kazan the third in a part of the art project “Contemporary Tatar decorative arts.”
This project runs from 2013 by the public organization “Club of Tatar art and culture” in conjunction with the museum-reserve “Kazan Kremlin.”
The main purpose of the exhibition – to reveal image of features ornament depending on the material and manufacturing techniques, to trace the evolution of visual language Tatar ornament, and the perception of its role in contemporary art.
The exhibition presents about 30 works made in different techniques and different materials that share one thing – an appeal to the Tatar ornament as an expressive artistic image of contemporary art.
The exhibition presents works by famous Tatar artists working in various techniques of decorative art: Louisa Faskhutdinova, Zemfira Biktasheva (embroidery), Svetlana Garbuzova, Naila Kumysnikova, Alphia Zamilova (leather mosaic), Flora Daminova, Rustem Shamsutov (leather mosaic), Laisan and Airat Mardanshins, (graphics), Hamza Sharipov (Naberezhnye Chelny, application of felt), Ravil Zagidullin (technique of painting on glass).
The exhibition will run until October 15, will complete its work by round table with the participation of well-known art critics and artists.
