On the Feast of the Breaking Fast, the Muslims of Tyumen were shown the hair of the Prophet Muhammad

In honor of the feast of the Breaking  the Fast, the Tyumentians   have been  shown a particle of the hair of the Prophet Muhammad. A hundred years later the relic returned to the mosque of Nigmatullah, haji Seydukov, from where it was taken during the revolution.

Not only residents of the village came to the collective prayer on the occasion of the completion of the Muslim fast in the historical cathedral mosque named after Nigmatulla Seydukov in Embaevo. Believers   have come from Tyumen and neighboring settlements.

This year, for the celebration of Uraza-Bairam Muslims of the Tyumen region made a gift, the hair of the Prophet Muhammad was brought from the regional museum. A relic for the Mohammedan complex of Embaevo was bought by the patron, merchant of the first guild Nigmatulla Seydukov in the late 19th century. After the revolution, the hair was transferred to the regional museum of local lore. And after a hundred years, the shrine was once again exhibited in the walls of the historic cathedral mosque.

Together with all the believers, the descendants of Nigmatullah Haji Seydukov also came to see the shrine. In the historical-Muslim complex of the great-grandchildren and great-grandsons of the patron for the first time after the expulsion in 1921.

With the idea to revive the tradition of mass celebration of Uraza-Bairam in the historical and memorial complex in Embaevo, Tatar businessmen emerged. Local residents, the administration and the Congress of the Tatars supported them.

Rinat Nasyrov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Tatar Congress of the Tyumen Region:

“On this holiday, Uraza-Bairam, everyone wanted to be involved. In addition to fitr-sadaq, each provided additional financial assistance, organizational assistance. And this is only the beginning. The village can become an example for the Tyumen region in the way people can organize themselves in the community. And it (the community) makes changes for the better.

Guests were fed a festive pilau from the cauldron. Embaevo women took care of generous treats: tables were made with national pastries. In the courtyard of the mosque  a concert of singers of religious songs, competitions for small athletes and a contest of reciters of the Koran took place.
