From July 30 to August 2, Kazan hosted the VIII Congress of the World Congress of Tatars.

Here it became known that personnel changes are expected in the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars. The first changes have been announced today. This was announced to the team by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziev.

Mars Rifkatovich Tukaev, who previously worked as Deputy Head of the CGT Executive Committee for work with Tatar public associations in the regions of the Russian Federation, has now been appointed First Deputy Head. He will be responsible for working with Tatar organizations in the regions of Russia and abroad. He will also be in charge of a new department of the World Congress of Tatars for work with religious organizations.
