The President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov met with the activists of national-cultural autonomy of the Tatars of the Altai Krai within the framework of his working visit to Barnaul.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, head of the National Council of Milli Shura Vasil Shaikhraziev, an assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Radik Gimatdinov and Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Altai Region Nikolai Chinyakov took part in a meeting that took place at the Cathedral mosque of Barnaul.
The activists told Rustam Minnikhanov about the life of local Tatars, events held as part of the celebration of national and Muslim holidays, participation in various forums and conferences, and also about the relationship with the leadership of the Altai krai.
Rustam Minnikhanov in turn thanked the local activists for the great attention paid to the preservation and development of the native language, culture and traditions.
“This is our common goal. But this work can not be considered complete without your participation. Each of you has your own worries, business, but, despite this, you find opportunities to come together, realize projects – it’s very appreciating, “Rustam Minnikhanov stressed.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan informed that at the last congress of the World Congress of Tatars, which took place in August of this year, a decision was made to create a new body – the National Council of Milli Shura.
He also noted that the Republic of Tatarstan maintains contact with Tatars living in different parts of Russia and abroad. This work is facilitated by the implementation of several important projects: an online educational platform for the Tatar language “Ana tele”, an information and resource of Tatar social network “Tatar Ile”, a TV channel “TNV-Planet”, broadcasting in the Tatar language.
Separately, the President of Tatarstan thanked the regional leadership for supporting local Tatars and creating comfortable conditions for their lives.
Then Rustam Minnikhanov presented the representatives of the core group with a number of state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan, and also handed over to the head of the local Regional Tatar national-cultural autonomy the keys to a new minibus.
