September 14, in St. Petersburg, a presentation of the tourism potential of the Republic of Tatarstan was held. The presentation was organized by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the tour operator “Premiere Tour”. The aim of the event was  development and strengthening of tourist relations between St. Petersburg and the Republic of Tatarstan,  expansion of cooperation between business communities and the implementation of joint projects in tourism.

The presentation was conducted by chief of the Russian department of the tour operator “Premiere” Tatiana Biserova. The event was attended by  heads of tourist associations of St. Petersburg, engaged in domestic tourism. All the guests of the event showed great interest, many interesting questions were asked at the  presentation.

During the presentation, a video link with the Premiere Tour branch in Kazan was held, where they discussed  organization of sightseeing tours from St. Petersburg to Kazan, visiting  an  ancient city of Bulgar, the island of Sviyazhsk, one of the largest water parks in Europe, the Kazan planetarium . Also, questions were discussed about mutual increase in a tourist flow and  possibility of organizing additional tourist trains.

After the presentation, Robert Myf – a famous artist, guided his personal exhibition of paintings “… far, but in heart with Tatarstan”, opened at the beginning of the month and timed to the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Republic of Tatarstan is one of the most developed regions of the Russian Federation in the field of tourism. Possessing and skillfully preserving a rich historical and ethno-cultural heritage, Tatarstan is attracting increasing interest both from Russian and foreign guests.

Tatarstan is characterized by a positive dynamics of tourism development. At present, the investment climate in a sphere of tourism is significantly improving in the republic. The number of tourism facilities is constantly growing, tourist streams are increasing, and  dynamics of progressing  tourism industry makes the Republic of Tatarstan to hold one of the leading positions in Russia.
