Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law on the study of native languages

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law on the study of native languages, the relevant document was published on the official portal of legal information.

In accordance with the document, the federal state educational standards of preschool, primary and basic general education provide the opportunity to obtain education in native languages ​​out of number of  the languages ​​of the peoples of the Russian Federation, to study the official languages ​​of the republics of the Russian Federation, native languages  out of number of the languages ​​of the peoples of Russia, including the Russian language as native language.

It is specified that the right of the citizens of the Russian Federation to study the native language out of  the languages ​​of the peoples of the Russian Federation within the limits of the opportunities provided by the education system is relevant, among other things, to the Russian language as a native language.
