June 3, 2018, at the park “Vzrazhdane” in Sofia, Bulgaria, the community “Volga Bulgari” organizes a celebration of the cultural and sports family holiday “Sabantuy-Bulgaria 2018”.
Sabantuy is held under the patronage of the UNESCO, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Bulgaria, with the support of the Sofia City Council, Rossotrudnichestvo, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Bulgaria,
On the area of 8000 square meters there will be 7 thematic zones – a zone of meeting guests, sports, funny folk games, scenes, a zone of “national cuisine”, a fair of folk craftsmen, a playground.
Special attention is paid to attracting young people to the formation of a positive attitude to life and the transfer of traditions through the generations. It is expected that Sabantuy in Bulgaria will visit 7000 people. The national holiday is open to all, regardless of nationality, and so is the most unifying holiday.
The main action of the holiday will unfold in the park, where the stage for performances of dance and song creative teams and stars of Tatar, Bashkir pop music, Russian, Bulgarian bands from Bulgaria will perform. On the sports ground there will be competitions on the national wrestling “Koresh”, arm wrestling, push-up dumbbells.
Winners will receive valuable gifts, and the main Batyr of Sabantuy will get prize a live sheep. On the site-Fair of folk craftsmen will also be held master classes. At each site, the work of the two presenters is provided. The participants will have tents in the Tatar, Russian, Bulgarian traditional folk style, in which master classes and various competitions will be held.
On the territory of the park playgrounds for comic folk games Sabantuy (running with a spoon in the mouth with the egg laid on it, running with yokes with water-filled buckets, running in bags, taking a coin’s mouth from a cup with a bayonet, etc.) will be prepared in which during the day all comers can take part.
In the park, the points of selling souvenirs, books and products of national cuisines will work all day.
