On October 17 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with compatriots living on the territory of the European Union.
Co-chairman of “Tatari Germanii” Venera Vagizova introduced activists of Tatar community to Tatarstan President and noted that Tatars from Germany, Lithuania, Great Britain, Czech Republic and France arrived to meet with compatriots from the republic.
Board Chairman of the European Alliance of Tatars Flyur Sharipov told Rustam Minnikhanov about the alliance and its main mission to unite European Tatars to keep their national identity. According to Flyur Sharipov, they succeed in reaching their first goal. The European Parliament paid attention to the Alliance and noted its constructive tasks.
Rustam Minnikanov admitted that the main thing is to keep the sense of belonging to the motherland and the regional leadership makes every effort to maintain relationship with Tatarstan natives. Thus, the educational projects “Ana tele” and “Algarysh” have been successfully implemented. The World Congress of Tatars is performing its activity on a regular basis.
“National mentality is our main competitive advantage, which makes Tatarstan the most innovative and developed region of Russia,” Rustam Minnikhanov summed up.
