A delegation from Tatarstan headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziev got acquainted with the Braybunling Dam of the Chita Datsan.
The construction of the datsan began in 2002. In 2009, a two-meter-high statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, lion figures made of brass and a sacrificial vessel-censer for decorating the datsan were delivered from Ulan-Ude.
On August 15, 2010, the datsan was consecrated. The main activity of the datsan is holding khurals dedicated to the most important events of Buddhist history. Various rituals are held daily in the datsan.
