An educational and cultural center of the Kayum Nasyri Institute of Kazan Federal University was opened at the National University of Uzbekistan.
The opening took place as part of the Days of Tatar Culture in the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was attended by the rector of the National University of Uzbekistan Inom Majidov, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilsur Khadiullin, the director of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of KFU Radif Zamaletdinov, the director of the Kayum Nasyri Institute Alfiya Yusupova, students and teachers, representatives of the Tatar diaspora in Tashkent.
The rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, Inom Majidov, noted that the opening of such a center is a great honor for the university. He is convinced that the Center of the Kayum Nasyri Institute will promote cooperation with the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan.
More than 300 thousand Tatars live in Uzbekistan, who wish to join their native culture and traditions, learn their native language.
The educational and cultural center will conduct free online classes, cultural and educational events in the native language. Conducting joint scientific research is also a priority area of work.
