On April 7, 2017, the Institute of History of the RT Academy of Sciences donated the first copy of the seven-volume “History of the Tatars” and the monograph “The Golden Horde in World History”, which was published for the first time in English, as a gift to the Bodleian Library of Oxford University. Director of the Institute of History after Sh. Mardzhani Rafael Khakimov gave valuable monographs to Lidia Wright, an employee of the Institute of Oriental Studies at the Bodleian Library.
The translation and publication in English of the seven-volume “History of the Tatars” and the monograph “The Golden Horde in World History” was carried out with the financial support of JSC “TAIF”.
The ceremony of transferring books to the library was also attended by a research fellow at the Oxford University and the Sorbonne-Paris IV University, Doctor of Historical Sciences. Marie Favero-Doumenjo, Senior Researcher, Institute of Russian History, Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences. Vadim Trepavlov, Professor of the History Institute of the University of Warsaw and the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences Dariusz Kolodzeychik, researchers of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ph.D. Ilnur Mirgaleev, Ph.D. Marat Gibatdinov and Ph.D. Bakhtiyar Izmailov.
