The Representation  of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation has begun to collect proposals from Muscovites to develop  The  Strategy for the Development of the Tatar People”

President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov in his annual address to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan  raised the issue of speeding up  the development of the “Strategy for the Development of the Tatar People”.

“Support for Tatars living outside Tatarstan and the country in the issues of preserving  language, culture and traditions is our constitutional responsibility. Past congresses of the World Congress of Tatars actualized these issues. It is necessary to more closely interact with the government bodies responsible for this work, the World Congress of Tatars and the Federal National-Cultural Autonomy of the Tatars with the relevant local structures. It is necessary to develop various formats of activity, including the expansion of the educational network “Ana tele”. We are not looking good  to the fact that the adoption of the announced Strategy for the Development of the Tatar People is being delayed. It should be a document consolidating the nation based on self-identification and common views on the past, present and future of the Tatar people. Let me remind you that the center of responsibility in this work is the World Congress of Tatars, ” the address by  the President of the Republic of Tatarstan says.

A huge number of Tatars live in Moscow, among them there are many eminent scholars, famous military leaders, prominent figures in various fields of science, culture and art, religious figures, business representatives and activists of the Tatar public.

The key thoughts of fellow tribesmen on the aforementioned global topic would be useful in developing this Strategy.

In this regard, the Rep-office  of Tatarstan has begun to collect proposals from the Moscow Tatars.

Proposals can be sent by November 20, 2018 to [email protected] e-mail (contact person: Nailya Akmaeva).

After collecting and systematizing the information received in a single register, the Embassy plans to hold a round table to discuss and summarize proposals and opinions.

The most interesting and effective will be sent to Kazan – to the Working Group on the development of the Strategy for inclusion in the above-mentioned document.
