In the premises of the National Cultural Autonomy of the Tatars of the City of Surgut, a meeting was held with the leaders of the project “National Cuisine as a Fragment of Ethnic Identity in the Dialogue of Cultures of the Peoples of Yugra”, which was attended by Ph.D. member of the editorial board of the journal “Journal of Ugric Studies”, Andreeva Lyudmila Anatolyevna and Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages, Yugorsky State University of the Russian Federation, Khanty-Mansiysk city Fillimonova Natalya Vladimirovna.

At the meeting, the current state of the national cuisine of the Tatars living in the city of Surgut and our region was considered. The study of the characteristics of the national food culture is defined as an important fragment of ethnic identity. The aim of the work is to identify the transformations taking place in the traditions of the food of the Tatars living in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra, in the context of continuous cultural dialogue. Also, at the meeting  the traditions and customs of the Tatar people have been discussed. This was told to us by  doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor,  chief researcher of the laboratory of problems of physical education and ethnopedagogy of SurSPU and  founder of his own scientific school,  author of numerous books, a member of the Council of national cultural autonomy of Tatar Shaimardanov Rafis Khasanovich.
