The World Congress of Tatars hosted a presentation of books on Tatar local history and regional history

Today, in the building of the World Congress of Tatars, an All-Russian round table was held – a presentation of projects of scientific memorial complexes and local history books published in the Samara region and the Pestrechinsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The event was attended by scientists, local historians, religious and public figures, representatives of veteran and youth organizations, and the media. During the opening of the round table, Albert Burganov conveyed to the guests the words of welcome from Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars Vasil Shaikhraziev, First Deputy Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars, Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars Danis Shakirov.

Within the framework of the round table, the books “Maүla Kolyi Poemalary”, “XVII gasyr shagiyre Maүla Kolyi”, as well as the book by V. M. Ershov “Return to the origins … (literary and historical essay)”, etc. were presented.

In his speech, Indus Tagirov expressed the opinion that the Tatar people will live forever if the publication of books about the Tatars in other regions continues:

– If books about Tatars continue to be published in Samara, it means that our people live. The roots of the Tatar people can be found everywhere, no one can cut it. We, in turn, must contribute to the growth of the Tatar factor in our land.

Damir Iskhakov gave his advice to local historians:

– It is necessary to collect more information about the settlements where the Tatars live, and present it to the population. I believe that this movement will open the way to the study of the history of Russia, because the Tatar people live everywhere.
