Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council Vasil Shaykhraziev is on a working visit in the Republic of Mari El. In Yoshkar-Ola, the Tatars met him with a chak-chak.
Vasil Shaikhraziev began his visit with a visit to the Center for Tatar Culture in Yoshkar-Ola. The center was opened in 1997. Currently, there are courses on the study of the Tatar language, history. Learn the Arabic language and the basics of the Quran. There are about 15 circles of amateur art activities, sports sections, such as wrestling, aikido, and rhythmic gymnastics.
Many amateur groups are laureates of international, interregional, republican competitions and festivals. The population of the Tatar population is 38357 people (of which the urban population is 26898, the rural population is 11459), which is 5.5% of the total population of the region. At present, there are 12 rural clubs and houses of culture in Tatar villages and villages, the number of schools with Tatar language teaching is 19.
