The State Council has approved the candidacy of Ildar Khalikov to the post of Prime Minister of Tatarstan

Today at 10am, in a session hall of the Parliament the tenth meeting of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan of the fifth convocation has opened.

Presidium introduced 23 issues from parliamentarians, including 13 draft laws of the Republic of Tatarstan and the six legislative initiatives of the regions. For the first reading 9 bills has been prepared , the second – 3.

Of course, the main issue on the agenda was the approval of candidates for the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, as well as the formation of the new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic.

At this meeting, Ildar Khalikov has been confirmed as Prime Minister with 83 votes “for” and three abstentions. “Against” voted nobody.

Ildar Khalikov was born November 21, 1967, in Agryz of Tatarstan.

In 1985, he served in the Soviet Army. In 1987 he enrolled at the Kazan State University. Ulyanov-Lenin, specialty “jurisprudence”.

From 1993 to 1995 – leading specialist, acting head of the short and long term lending, deposits and securities, head of the joint-stock commercial bank “Chelny-Bank.”

From 1995 to 1996 – Deputy Head of Legal Department of JSC “KAMAZ”.

From 1996 to 2003 – Director of Finance, Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance – Director for Economics and Finance, Deputy General Director for Corporate Strategy of JSC “KAMAZ”.

From 2003 to 2005 – Head of Administration of Naberezhnye Chelny.

From 1 January 2006 – Head of the municipality of Naberezhnye Chelny, mayor of the city.

On April 22, 2010 – Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Married, wife – Guzel Ilmirovna Khalikova, three children – a son and two daughters. Hobbies: cross country skiing, downhill skiing, fishing, reading books.
