Today, a monument to Gabdulla Tukay was solemnly opened in the village of Novy Tukaevsky district. This is the first monument to the great Tatar poet in the area that bears his name.

The solemn ceremony was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov, the head of the Tukaevsky district Fail Kamaev and the chairman of the Chelny branch of the World Congress of Tatars Fakil Safin.
