The head of the Society of Tatar Local Historians Albert Burkhanov spoke about the essential role of the activities of local historians in the development of the Tatar people.

In 2023, activists held 211 conferences, including 23 All-Russian ones. 102 scientific and local history articles have been published. Thanks to these events, Tatars in the regions are more interested in the history of their people. Also this year, local historians investigated Tatar traces in Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Literary critic, professor of KFU Khatip Minnegulov believes that the activities of local historians today are a foundation for the future.

“Your trips to Belarus, Kazakhstan, and the regions of Russia are steps towards uniting Tatars, a very noble cause. And although the results are not yet obvious, they will appear after a while. You give a lot of effort, share your experience. Residents of the regions see how important this is. I wish you productive work in the future,” the scientist wished.
