The film “Ibn Fadlan” was shown as part of the Days of Tatarstan Cinema in Uzbekistan

On December 16, the film “Ibn Fadlan” was shown in Tashkent, produced by the Publishing House “Khuzur” of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Tatarstan.

The documentary-fiction film is based on the travel notes of the Arab diplomat Ahmed ibn Fadlan. His journey as part of the Baghdad embassy was associated with the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria in 922 as the official religion.

After the screening, a creative meeting took place with the director and producer of the film, Ainaz Mukhametzyanov. The event was also attended by representatives of the Tatar community of Uzbekistan, who received a lot of positive emotions from watching the film.
