On March 20, at the Tashkent park named after Alexander Pushkin, national cultural centers, numbering more than 140 in Uzbekistan, presented their concert program, as well as exhibitions of art and applied art, national clothes and culinary arts.
The Tatar public cultural and educational center (TPCEC) in Tashkent was widely represented in the festivities.
Musical groups and singers such as the folk ensemble “Izhe Nur” took part in the festival, under the leadership of the winner of the contest “Tatar Zhyry”, chairman of the Sergely department of the TPCEC Tashkent M. Bukharov and the Tatar-Bashkir ensemble “Duslyk” under the direction of the Honored worker of culture Republic of Tatarstan R. Baimurzina, a dance group of the Tatar ensemble “Leysan”.
In addition, the exhibition included Tatar national cuisine, Tatar national costumes, various household utensils, ancient photographs of the Tatars of Uzbekistan and much more. It is gratifying to note that the Tatar youth of the center actively participated in the celebration.
On the same day a solemn concert with the participation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyev took place in recreation park named after A.Kadyriy. The event was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Uzbekistan, members of the government, parliament, media, cultural and art figures, collectives of national cultural centers and representatives of the public.
At the celebration Honored artist of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Bashkortostan F. Khaldarov and the dance group of the Tatar ensemble “Leysan” took part.
March 21 festivities in the park named after Alexander Pushkin, with the participation of national cultural centers, continued.
Tatar public cultural centers in the cities of Yangiyul, Jizzakh, Samarkand, Bukhara, Navoi, Urgench, Karshi and Fergana also took an active part in the celebration of the spring holiday Navruz.
