Days of Tatar cuisine in the Sverdlovsk region

In February – March 2015, traditional Days of Tatar cuisine in the Sverdlovsk region in memory of Tatar cook Yunus Akhmetzyanov to be held.

The first meeting of the working group on organization and holding the Days of Tatar cuisine in the Sverdlovsk region to realized at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan. The plan of preparation and holding to be discussed and approved at a meeting of the working group.

The Days of Tatar cuisine in the Sverdlovsk region were first organized at the initiative of the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Ural region Rinat Sadriev in 2012. The first event was held in a building of the Ural State Mining University. In 2013 and 2014, the Days of Tatar cuisine successfully were held with the active participation of secondary specialized educational institutions of the Sverdlovsk Region and the Republic of Tatarstan. For example, in 2014 Tatar cuisine festivals were organized in .Ekaterinburg, Nizhny Tagil, Mikhailovsk, Krasnoufimsk, Slobodoturinsk, involving 14 professional educational institutions of the Sverdlovsk region.

During the Days of Tatar cuisine traditionally an exhibition and presentation of the dishes, master classes are held. While assessing the works, the jury pays special attention not only to

the quality and taste of cooked Tatar national dishes, but also table setting with national color and creativity forms of presentation. As a result, the event takes place in a festive atmosphere, often with invitation of national creative collectives teams.

By results of the festival, the best participants will be able to go to Kazan.

This year’s event will be held in Yekaterinburg on February 27 in a format of culinary festival of Tatar national cuisine.
