The new project G. Tukai Literature Museum and Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars “A Day with Tukai”

In connection of announcing the year 2015 in the Russian Federation the Year of Literature, the World Congress of Tatars and G.Tuaki Literature Museum offer a project “A Day with Tukai” for Tatars living outside Tatarstan.

G. Tukai Literary Museum in Kazan – the only museum where personal belongings of the poet and his like-minded friends F.Amirhan, G. Kamal, A. Hasani, H. Yamashev are preserved. The museum exposition acquaints visitors with the life and work of the great Tukai. Here you can see most of the lifetime editions of the poet. The museum offers visitors an overview and thematic tours, museum studies and holidays. For the guests from different regions it will be interesting to learn about the life and work and connections of G.Tukai with his minor homeland. The museum exhibits acquaint visitors with travel of the poet to Ufa, Astrakhan, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg, Guryevka (Ulyanovsk region), Troitsk (Chelyabinsk region). Representatives of the Volga Republics – from Chuvashia, Mari El, Udmurtia, Mordovia are offered more exclusive information about the connection of G.Tukai and his work with these republics. On the same day, you can visit the tour to the Old Tatar settlement, visit museum festivals, meet with representatives of the creative intelligentsia.

Within one day, visitors can learn about the life and work of G.Tukai, visit the museum holiday, where presenters Shurale and Miyaubike meet with poets, writers, composers and artists, whose work is inspired by the G.Tukai, learn about the role of the poet in the cultural life of the region.
