The opening of the Days of Tatar Science and Culture in Perm took place today at the Maxim Gorky Perm Regional Library. The Research Conference “The History of Perm – the contribution of the Tatar people to the formation and development of the city, the development of the mining industry of Russia, mining and factory business” was also held here. Albert Burkhanov, Head of the Committee for work with local historians of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars took part in the scientific meeting.

The guests and participants of the conference were representatives of regional national and cultural organizations of the Volga and Ural Federal Districts, regional Tatar national, scientific and local history organizations of the Perm Region, heads of cultural and public organizations of the city, local historians.

During the conference, an exposition of the results of 20 years of local history activity and printed materials on the history and local history of the Tatar National and Cultural Autonomy of Perm will be presented.
