Tatars and Bashkirs of Latvia: a holiday of tea attracted new people to the native culture

On December 20, the Association of National Cultural Societies of Latvia, located in Riga, Latvia, Tatars and Bashkirs held a holiday of tea! It’s nice that a lot of new and good people have come. It was noted by many present. And this is the most important point of the holiday. Thanks to them! This was delightful! And the second that gave the festival is communication. People would acquaint with pleasure, sharing their life events. After all, many have received – an interesting and necessary for life.

The program of the festival included competitions of tea – some people wondered what belongs to the tea cup, the participants shared their favorite tea recipes. Just took a photo quiz with the motto – what is it and where is it? We were shown various pictures from the life and culture of Tatars and Bashkirs (attractions, buildings, people, natural landscapes). Some answers were easy.

A separate competition for knowledge of Islamic and national traditions was held. The birthday of the Tatar composer Salih Saidashev ws celebrated, listened to the legend of the Bashkir Shikhany, would sing native songs and danced.

Of course, then all together would treat tea and goodies. Each participant brought his holiday fairing. And finally came a wonderful table, even had to bring more tables. Since the goodies that you eat with others – the most delicious. We would drink tea as it should be – a lot. All wished each other more joy in life to all those who came and who this time could not.

Compared with other activities during this time was even more people. Tatars and Bashkirs are interested in native culture, and it is clear that the need to communicate more often. Responsiveness pleases.
