The third “Akmullin readings” were held in Miass

On October 26, the III Interregional Scientific and Practical conference “Akmullin readings” was held in Miass. The event, which has already become traditional for Miass, is dedicated to the memory of the poet-educator Miftakhetdin Akmulla, who made a great contribution to Bashkir, Tatar and Kazakh literature. It should be noted that the venue of the Conference was not chosen by chance. Miftakhetdin Akmulla visited Miass more than once, where he conducted active educational activities. The poet died in the vicinity of Miass and was buried in the local Muslim cemetery, which is now a cultural heritage site of regional significance.

Representatives of the Government of the Chelyabinsk Region, Regional Spiritual Administration of Muslims, World Congress of Tatars, Bashkir Kurultai, South Ural Public Foundation, Regional Branch of the Assembly of Peoples of Russia, Regional socio-political newspaper Uralym, Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after M. Akmulla and others took part in the third “Akmullin Readings”.

During the plenary session, a solemn ceremony of handing over copies of the journal “Akmulla” to the Miass city District from the National Library named after Zaki Validi (Republic of Bashkortostan) took place.

Also, as part of the opening of the Conference, an agreement on cultural cooperation was signed between the Museum of Local Lore of the Miass City District and the National Literary Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
