In Tyumen on September 7, the All-Russian tournament on Tatar wrestling on the Koresh belts will be held, dedicated to the memory of the Heroes of Russia Raushan Abdullin and Timur Mukhutdinov.

 

The All-Russian Tatar Wrestling Tournament will be held in Tyumen for the first time. The collection of applications for participation has already begun. The organizers expect that about 200 athletes from 22 regions of the Russian Federation will come to a major event. The best representatives of wrestling on belts will be determined in seven weight categories. In addition to the individual classification, a team is also provided. The goal of the tournament is  to  popularize belt wrestling. Athletes will have the opportunity to receive the ranks and titles of masters of sports.

 

Tatar wrestling sections on the Koresh belts are actively working in Tyumen and the region. On the basis of the school of the Olympic reserve “Priboi” and in the village Cascara by more than a hundred athletes are trained. Similar sections are planned to open in Yalutorovsk and Tobolsk regions.
