In order to preserve and support the Tatar language and culture in the regions of the Russian Federation and abroad and increase interest in the work of front-line writers, a Gala concert of the VI International Literary Competition “Jalilov Readings” will be held on February 15, 2024 at 16.00. Venue: Saidash Cultural Center (Kazan, N. Ershova St., 57A).

The reading competition, which started on October 25, 2023, received more than 40 thousand applications from 26 regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries within a month.

The geography of the competition is expanding every year. This year it covered Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey.

The youngest participant in the current competition is Timur Sadriev from Menzelinsk, he is only 2 years old. And the oldest participant is Khimiya Shakirzyanova from Nizhnevartovsk. She is 90 years old.

This year, a new nomination was established – “Song based on the poems of Musa Jalil.”
