Сulinary competition held for “Tatar Kyzy-2024” Semi-Finalists

From August 20th to 25th, Kazan is hosting the semi-final of the international competition “Tatar Kyzy-2024”. Today, at the Tugan Avylim complex, the contestants demonstrated their culinary skills by preparing a traditional Tatar dish – tokmach (homemade noodles for soup).

The jury assessed the contestants’ abilities based on 3 criteria:

1) Dough kneading;

2) Dough rolling;

3) Speed and size of noodle cutting.

The jury also evaluated the contestants’ cleanliness. After kneading the dough, the container should be clean, free of any dough or flour residue.

Kadriya Raesovna, Head of the Committee for Work with Public Organisations and Chairman of the Republican Public Organisation of Tatar Women “Ak Kalfak”, remarked that “Every single participant here has experience preparing noodles, and their skill is truly commendable”.
