From March 5 to April 28, state theaters across the republic are hosting creative workshops as part of the “Idel-Yort” festival. These workshops focus on key aspects of theatrical art: Directing, Acting Mastery, Makeup, and Stage Movement. The initiative aims to provide expert support to everyone involved in theater in various forms and helps preserve the continuity of national theater traditions.
The organization of such events aligns with the goals of the federal project “Family Values and Cultural Infrastructure” within the national project “Family.”
This year, the workshops will bring together representatives of amateur theater groups from all districts of the Republic of Tatarstan. A total of 10 workshops will be held at professional theater venues, where participants will have the opportunity to attend training sessions, meet renowned directors, distinguished artists, and artistic directors, as well as take part in performances and post-show discussions.
The first workshop took place on March 5 at the Menzelinsk State Tatar Drama Theater named after S. Amutbaev. Representatives from the Yelabuga, Muslyumovo, and Menzelinsk districts explored topics such as stage speech training for actors, modern choreography in theater productions, and traditional patterns in stage costumes. The event concluded with a performance of “Ul Kaytty” (“He Returned”) based on a play by A. Atnabayev, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory Day.
The second workshop was held on March 11 at the Buinsk State Drama Theater, bringing together participants from the Apastovo, Kamsko-Ustyinsky, and Tetyushi districts. The training sessions were conducted by Niyaz Raufovich Iglamov, head of the TGTK “Ekiyat,” chairman of the Public Council of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, and a member of the Cultural Council under the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan. The workshop ended with a staging of “Guljamal,” based on the novel by Yu. Z. Mirgaziyan.
