The 25th Federal Sabantuy to be held in the Republic of Sakha

On June 13–14, the XXV Federal Sabantuy will take place in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The official opening is scheduled for June 14. It is expected that the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, along with over a thousand residents of the republic—including representatives of Tatarstan’s public organizations as well as cultural and sports figures from various regions of the Russian Federation—will participate in the event.

As part of the Federal Sabantuy program in the Republic of Sakha, the following will be featured: a concert by masters of the arts, days of Tatarstan cinema, an exhibition-fair of folk arts and crafts from the Republic of Tatarstan, a tour performance by the Buinsk State Drama Theater.

The concert and Sabantuy celebration will include performances by leading artists of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Tatarstan, the “Kazan Nury” folk instrument orchestra, the “Kristall” pop dance ensemble, the “Agidel” song and dance ensemble, the “Kazan” dance ensemble, choreographic groups “Tatarstan” and “Miridance,” the “Bulgary” dance theater, and actors from the Almetyevsk Tatar State Drama Theater.

The Federal Sabantuy events are held with the support of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.

“Sabantuy is a celebration of friendship. It unites us and reflects the unity of Tatars, Russians, Mari people, Udmurts, Christianized Tatars, and other peoples. We all live in one great Russia,” – noted Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan.
