During the meeting, the parties discussed possible formats of cooperation and agreed to implement joint events in the near future.
On December 1, 1907, Tatar Muslim youth first gathered at the famous “Bulgarian Rooms” hotel, initiating the organization of cultural and educational evenings for the “Sharyk” club.
In 1911, the “Sharyk” club moved to a new three-story building (now 8, Tatarstan Street). The first floor housed the club’s board, cloakroom, and ticket office; the second floor had a 150-seat auditorium, a room for playing lotto, and a reading room with a Russian-Muslim library. The club was managed by a council of elders.
Over the years, the club’s activities involved literary figures G. Tukay, F. Amirkhan, G. Kamal, S. Ramiev, G. Kulakhmetov, S. Rakhmankulov, N. Yushkov; actors G. Kariyev, S. Gizatullina-Volzhskaya, V. Murtazin-Imansky; musicians V. Apanayev, I. Galiakberov, G. Zaypin, and others.
