On Children’s Day, Yelabuga Kindergarten No. 40 “Sozvezdie” (Constellation) gave a special gift to its young pupils.
The first Tatar language camp, “Yoldyzly җәy” – “Starry Summer,” solemnly opened its doors here. To the sound of lively folk melodies, words of encouragement in the Tatar language, and the ringing laughter of children, the session began—promising to be a true adventure into the world of their native culture.
The idea of immersing children in a linguistic and ethnic environment during the summer, when the main academic load is reduced, came naturally to the kindergarten staff. According to the head of the kindergarten, Ella Alina, this is a full-fledged project that has received support from the leadership of the republic.
The camp will run for one month and will host two groups of 50 children each. The closing day is set for June 26, when a colorful festival will take place to sum up the results.
