July 14-15, 2016, the International Scientific and Practical Conference hosted «V Karimullinskie readings.” Memorial readings were dedicated to the memory of outstanding scientist and artist, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Doctor of philological sciences, scientist, bibliographer Abrar Gibadullovich Karimullin.

The conference was organized by the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the administration Sabinsky municipal district.

Its work the conference began by a plenary meeting on July 14 in the main building of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan, ul. The Kremlin, Building 33) of the National Library. Readings have been opened by the Director of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan Syuyumbike Ziganshina, she made a presentation on

importance and contribution by Abrar Karimullin. The participants of the conference were addressed by the chairman of the Committee of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan for Education, Culture, Science and national Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Republic of Tatarstan National Library Razil Valeev.

The V Karimullinski readings included reports covering the history of the national book industry and its current status. Reports of the participants of the CIS and Baltic countries, Dagestan and Crimea were listened to with attention and caused particular interest.
