The Tyumen center of Tatar culture, with the support of the Congress of Tatars of the Tyumen region holds a traditional contest “Super abi – Super Granny – 2015”.

The event is held for the preserving and development of family values and traditions of the Tatar people; a culture of family relationships, a sense of belonging to the family, to its roots; improve the status of the family.

Participate in the competition is open to women who are grandmothers (age unlimited), successfully maintain and develop national traditions. According to the regulations of the competition, the participants should communicate in native language; hold family holidays on the basis of national traditions; be aware and able to cook Tatar national dishes, use in education of their children and grandchildren elements of Tatar folk pedagogy, etc.
