Ravil Akhmetshin met with the Tatars of Finland

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation Ravil Akhmetshin met with the Finland Tatars.

In Moscow, they stayed a few days. The group led by chairman of the Muslim community in Finland Atik Ali and Imam of the community Ramil Hazrat Belyaev.

Atik Ali and Hazrat Ramil Belyaev presented Ravil Kalimullovich a disc with the documentary “Sacred heritage”, which focuses on the history of the Tatars of Yarvenpyaya and construction of a mosque. As well as the book, rich in photographs, which is dedicated to the arrival of the Tatars of Finland in 2013 in Moscow and their three-day trip to the villages of Krasnooktyabrskiy district of Nizhny Novgorod region. We remind that the Tatars living in Finland, – natives of Sergach uyezd (county) of the Nizhny Novgorod province. For many, that was the first trip to their historical homeland.

In 2013, before going to the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Tatars of Finland visited the Plenipotentiary Office, where they were received by Ravil Akhmetshin. Note that Ravil Kalimullovich met with them several times. Also, in 2013, together with the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Coordination Council for the Affairs of Compatriots of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, they made a joint working visit to Finland.

And just recently, on November 15 during a visit to Helsinki, representatives of the Tatar community, met the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Within the framework of their visit to Moscow the Fin Tatars visited an updated Moscow Cathedral Mosque, Danilovsky (Muslim) Cemetery, watched the performance by the Tatar State Theatre of Drama and Comedy after Karim Tinchurin, having arrived in the capital with tours.
