Vasil Shaykhraziyev to the leaders of the Tatar organizations of the Sverdlovsk region: “You must first unite”

The shortage of mosques in Yekaterinburg and in the Sverdlovsk region as a whole, the lack of Tatar textbooks and personnel, financial difficulties in conducting national events, problems with the premises of representatives of Tatar public organizations and insufficient interaction between Tatar organizations – these and other issues were voiced during the meeting of the heads of national Tatar public organizations of the Sverdlovsk region with chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars V.G. Shaikhraziev.
Opening the meeting, the permanent representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Urals region, Haidar Gilfanov, delivered a welcoming speech.
Then the leaders of the Tatar organizations in the region spoke about their problems. A representative of the Tatar youth organization “Yashen” complained that they had no place to gather and that this led to other problems. For example, young people cannot register their organization and therefore cannot participate in grants.
Deputy of the Sverdlovsk regional center of the Tatar and Bashkir culture “Miras” also noted that they do not have their own premises and the activities are not funded.
Chairman of the national-cultural autonomy of the Tatars of the Sverdlovsk region S. Bakirova also called the issue of the premises problematic, and also noted that the Tatar public organizations lack unity.
Chairman of the Society of Tatar and Bashkir Culture named after Mazhit Gafuri S.Nadyrov noted that earlier there was a pedagogical school, a Tatar theater, Tatar newspapers and magazines in the city of Yekterenburg, 4 Tatar schools were working only in Yekaterinburg, and now nothing of this is left. Today they cannot build not only a mosque, not even a monument to M. Jalil.
They also complained to V. Shaikhraziev on the lack of Tatar textbooks and teachers of the Tatar language, that there is no Tatar library, etc.
Chairman of the National Council urged not to lose heart and not to be humiliated. And he advised the leaders of the Tatar public organizations to solve problems starting with themselves.
– First of all, you need to unite, take an example from other regions. Only then will the authorities start reckoning with you. If you have weight, authority, then it will not be difficult to solve the problem with the premises. Only by uniting we can achieve success, said Vasil Shaikhraziev.
He also noted that the Sverdlovsk region showed itself weakly in the Тatarcha dictation ’action. He asked if Tatar Kyzy is being held in the region, what proposals are there for the development of the Strategy for the Development of the Tatar People.
